Facility Notes
The pool opened in late 2019.
Pool 1, the Competition Pool, has a movable bulkhead that allows for a variety of configurations; during short-course competitions, it can be set up with eight, 9f wide lanes on one side of the bulkhead and ten, 7f wide lanes on the other. When the bulkhead is at the far end of the pool there are either eight, 50m lanes or 22, 7f wide, 25y lanes.
Pool 3 is the Community Pool, which has water features, slides, a zero depth entry area , and an outdoor, seasonal, splash pad area.
The admission fees (and memberships) include access to the Competition pool and the Community pool areas.
Facility Reviews
This is an absolutely incredible facility for the region!! All that a serious swimmer could want in terms of lane availability, water temperature, smooth water, tight lane ropes, etc. I live in Pittsburgh and since I found this place in August of 2020 when Covid had shut down or seriously compromised swimming options, this gem, which is 1:15 drive for me, has been well worth it!! It’s an ‘outing’ during days of limited options , impeccably clean, almost empty. As the song does ‘Almost Heaven..... West Virginia...‘
