Facility Reviews
This is an excellent place to swim laps, and probably one of the best pools I visited in Japan. Although it’s located outside of the central part of town, it’s easily accessible via Buses 146 and 147. The building is on the older side, but very well maintained. There are three pools in this complex, including the 50m pool where I swam.
Swim passes are purchased from a vending machine inside (cash only). You then leave your shoes at the entrance of the locker rooms and can use a locker for a refundable ¥100. Upon exiting the locker room, turn left and walk down the long hallway to find the 50m pool and one of the 25m pools.
I swam here in the mid-mornings and most of the lanes had only one or two people. There didn’t seem to be any lane designation based on speed, though the faster swimmers appeared to be in the central lanes. The water was crystal-clear, and a comfortable temperature. Overall, it’s a great place to swim!
