Facility Reviews
This is a GREAT pool. Walk-ins cheerfully accepted without red tape. The pool has crystal clear water (not always the case in Italy), wide lanes, very long hours, and relatively friendly staff. I thought the water temperature was closer to 28ºC (82ºF) than the reported 29.5ºC.
Note the shoe racks and remove shoes before entering the main locker room or be prepared for rebuke.
If walking to the pool from Volterra's centro storico (15-23 minutes), study the map well. (Exit via Porta del Arco, pass the church on your right going to the pool: these are the key concepts.)
