"Since you only list pools, I’ll mention purely for the sake of conversation that Spiaggia Isola Bella (Beautiful Island Beach), easily reached on foot or by bus (€2 - €3 round trip) from hideously expensive Taormina, is one of the best places I’ve ever been swimming. Sure, there are tedious floats for the private beaches, but the surroundings are extremely beautiful, the water is warm even in late September, and it’s easy to boost a shower from at least one of the €10 "beach clubs." Euro notes are seawater proof, so I put them and my room keys into a mesh bag and tied them in with the drawstring of my trunks.
"You probably won’t start your beach annex site for this beach, but if you ever come to Sicily, I want you to know about it, so you won’t go in ignorance to the Taormina pool that I have not even bothered to investigate."

NOTE: The pool has been closed since 2016. It is not clear why the pool is closed (there have been disputes with regional government bodies about financing, roof damages [which have been repaired], and a contract dispute with the company that managed it for the city [which the city finally won], but we haven't been able to figure out what's holding up its reopening. And that makes it difficult to forecast when, if ever, the pool will reopen. [August, 2019]
Facility Reviews
The water was great (salt) and the folks very nice.
Access to this pool is along steep, winding, narrow roads. The pool is a bit old and tired, however, the water quality is good and the staff very welcoming.
