Facility Notes
The indoor pool is open seven months of the year; in warm weather there are three outdoor pools, including a 50m x 25m, 2.1m depth swimming pool and a 20m x 21m, 5.5m depth diving pool.
At the time this listing was added (probably around 1997), before we had mapped all the listings, we included the following note: "Foreigners should hire a cab to find the pool and expect the driver to have to ask a lot of directions to find it. Then make arrangements for the cab to pick you up after your swim, as taxis are not readily available at the complex. (Plan that cab fare and searching will add "a hefty amount" to the cost of your swim.)" Now that we have maps on the site and everyone has some form of GPS device, we don't know how much of it still applies.
Note: In September, 2020, we received a note from a swimmer who said had been denied access to the pool because he is Black. We attempted to contact the facility for a statement or explanation, but the email address on its website is apparently no longer working.
Facility Reviews
It’s a decent sized pool, slightly cold initially but fine once into session. The problem was that there were no lanes for lap swimming, so there was constant interruption.
