Facility Reviews
A very nice lap pool, kept well maintained in the locker area, as well as the pool. I met the maintenance guy, who treats the pool like his own and keeps it very clean. It's the closest pool to Waikiki Beach.

This is a fine outdoor pool that is within walking distance to many of the big hotels on Waikiki. Like all of the public pools in Honolulu, the hours seem to vary a lot -- I would definitely call first to confirm their hours (a real person answers during the day and there's a recording with the hours at night). I went once in the morning and once in the evening, and both times I had to share a lane but with only one other person. There's a nice view of the skyline and mountains from the pool deck. The pool itself is nice, but the locker rooms are old and not very clean; the lockers themselves are pretty rudimentary (small wooden cubes, a few with wooden doors that you can put your lock on, on the pool deck itself). But how can I complain when the pool is completely free??! You just walk in and start swimming. The staff was really friendly too. The pool is not well labeled -- just look for the odd two-story building that kind of looks like a stadium, and take the staircase off of Waiola Street; the entrance to the pool is straight ahead.
