Facility Reviews
The main indoor pool is clean and bright and a reasonable temperature; the changing facilities are also in a very good state of repair. I much prefer this David Lloyd location to the pool at the (now closed) David Lloyd Club - Solihull Fitness location, a mile or so away.
The pool is divided into lanes using proper wave suppression barriers. There are three "normal" width lanes (fast, medium and slow) and one double-width lane (slow). There are usually no more than two people in each lane, though in the afternoons I've seen children's lessons take place in the slow lane. In a space of five days the temperature has varied from 27.8º to 29ºC (82º - 84ºF). The water has been a bit murky at times. There is also an indoor play pool about 20 metres long for children (though I have seen adults swimming in it).
The outdoor pool is not laned but is about three lanes wide, and there is also a tiny kids' outdoor splash pool.
The rest of the complex includes tennis and squash courts, a gym, spa, cafeteria, lounges, etc.
Overall it definitely gets my recommendation.
