Facility Reviews
This is a pretty good pool. It's a weird length - 33-1/3 yards. The water is pretty warm and kickboards/pull buoys are always available. When I have swum there on weekday evenings it's been deserted. The showers are warm, but not as hot as they could be.
I can vouch for that also. The other lap swimmers on a recent Saturday visit were mostly the lifeguards taking a break. It's somewhat difficult to find: hidden all the way in the back of the park, where you have to navigate several parking lots and alleys to get to it. But once there, it's a lovely, immaculate setting with a park behind the pool that's equally underutilized. Old style, very clean 1950s style open changing room. Beautiful outdoor glass mosaic mural contributed by Girl Scouts for their 100 year anniversary in May, 2012 adds to the So Cal ambiance. (See this newspaper article about it.) It's just too bad more folks don't know about this hidden gem of a pool.
