Facility Reviews
I visited this pool twice, once late once in the late afternoon, when it was configured for 25-yard laps and once at lunchtime when the lanes were set for long course. Difficult to find hours and they’re not really fully logical. The staff is really friendly and the pool was lightly used when I was there.
The pool was great: Big, well-marked lanes; maybe a touch warm on my March visit but no issues finishing my workout; and clear water. My sloppy turns had my push off on the metal trim at the pool edge, but there were no surprise nicks.
Municipal pool amenities did not include "pool toys” or lockers, other than poolside cubbies (a few with lockable doors - bring your own lock). The bathroom/shower/changing area is pretty dingy. There's no hot water in the showers and two of the shower heads were out of service (out of four, plus disabled).
I’ve been to nicer pools, but this is free with 50m lanes and clear water so I can look past any demerits. Worth checking out if you’re visiting and don’t want a crowded Waikiki pool.
