Facility Reviews
The temperature was decent. It wasn't usually totally filled, but still deep enough to swim. Lane etiquette was lacking, but there were some groups that weren't just floating around. There were team lanes on one side and elderly lanes on the other. [July, 2013]
I swam here in the morning on a working day. Of the two 50m pools, one appeared to be for serious swimmers and the other for older folks. In the serious swimmers' pool, however, some of the lanes had older folks water-walking. I chose a lane that I had to share with only two other swimmers. There was a Masters group in the lane next to me but a half an hour after I started, the Masters moved into my lane for a youth swim team that had four or five lanes reserved.
They empty out a few feet of the water so people can walk all the way down the lane. I don't care for it, but it's not too bad. The water was pretty warm.
For the admission fee, you get a locker about half the size of a full-length luxury locker. Everyone had a cap on. Make sure to take a shower first.
Like everything in Busan, it's a heavily used facility. It's a crowded city with a crowded pool, unless you can figure out how to find the dead spots on the schedule. If you can read Korean, you can figure out when the busy times are by referencing a table at the entrance. I should have had the hotel concierge call and ask for the lightest usage time. [May, 2014]
