Facility Notes
The lagoon is a chlorinated, salt-water pool with three sections: a shallow-to-deep, long swimming area; a mostly-shallow water smaller area, mainly for children; and a wading pool for toddlers. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with lifeguardson duty from 7:00 A.M. until evening. The facility has barbecue facilities, shaded picnic tables, showers, and toilets, but no changing facilities (yet).
According to the SeaTemperature.info page for Arlie beach, the ocean water temperatures at Airlie Beach range, on average, from 22ºC (72ºF) in July and August to 28ºC (82ºF) in January, February, and March. It is likely that the water temperature in the lagoon will be a few degrees warmer than the ocean, but we cannot say how much warmer.
Facility Reviews
This is a great place to swim, but for serious lap swimming you have to arrive early in the morning. The pool is well maintained with (usually) clear water and a pleasant, helpful staff. There is a charge for parking.
