Important Notice Please Read

Swimmers Guide is not connected with any of the facilities listed on this site in any way. We cannot tell you the pools’ opening and closing times or when Senior Aerobics classes are held; we cannot tell you about the availability or cost of swimming lessons; we cannot get you discounted admission to swim at any of them; and we cannot help you find your children’s lost goggles or bathing suits.

We can and do try to give you reliable information about the pools, their locations, their admission policies, and their single-visit or casual swimming prices. Where possible, we include hypertext links to the pools’ own official websites and Facebook pages, clickable email addresses, and links to the websites of the clubs and teams that swim there. Look to those resources within each listing for more detailed information.

The data in the site is under continual review and is revised whenever the site’s editor becomes aware of a change, but, with more than 20,000 listings, a complete, periodic review of every listing takes about seven years to complete; in many places, prices will change four or five times before we have a chance to check the pool’s official website again.

For that reason, we ask for your help: If any of the information in the listing is incorrect, out of date, or could be improved, please tell us. There is an "Edit" button on just about every line of every listing, click on the edit button to tell us what needs to be changed. (No, it's not a place for you to ask us questions. What we have in each listing is the latest news we have.)

Also, please consider checking the listings of the pools you regularly use at home or when traveling, as your knowledge may be helpful to someone else who is unfamiliar with the area and visiting for the first time. Just go to the Add a Pool section of the site, read the first page, then fill out the questionnaire.

Facility Reviews

Lovely indoor pool never overly busy, with views to the beach also. Clean, well managed, and worth every Euro. A decent gym also available with restaurant adjoining. The water polo team is 1st class, with one winning the national championship in 2007.
This is a lovely pool, perfect temperature. I swam outside on a September Saturday afternoon and it was not busy. I had a lane to myself.
Great outdoor pool for swimming laps. Went in February and it was very comfortable swimming outside.
[March, 2014]
Nice view outside. Great experience to swim next to the sea and palm trees. Two pools outside; one for play and one for swim training. Narrow lanes.
[August, 2014]
A truly excellent lap pool. Or, actually, pair of lap pools -- one inside, one outside. Both are 25m and, on a visit in early November, 2018, the indoor was a lovely 81ºF (27ºC) with one swimmer per lane, and the outdoor was an eminently swimmable 78ºF (26ºC) or so, with no more than split lanes. The view of the Med and Barcelona's best beach is spectacular. Situated in Barceloneta, a cute neighborhood between the harbor and the sea, the facility offers swimming, gym workouts, and tennis, and though the price is fairly steep, it's an all-day in and out ticket. Showers and locker rooms are fine; bring your swim cap and shower shoes. There's a nice shop for reasonably-priced swim gear too. Go for paella at nearby Can Sole afterwards (reservations might be wise after 2).
[November, 2018]
This facility has indoor and outdoor lap pools. In July, the outdoor pool was too warm for most lap swimmers (~85º F. [29º C.]) but the indoor pool was nice and cool - probably about 80º F. (27ºC.). I shared a lane with one other swimmer. The lines painted on the bottom of the pool did not correspond with the lap lines/walls, which made it tricky to navigate at first... But, overall, it’s a decent spot.

Pricey at 14 USD for a day pass. But there are lounge chairs so you could easily spend a leisurely afternoon there.
